The painters Bonifacio Bembo, Giovanni da Montorfano and Stefano de' Fedeli were commissioned to paint the frescoes in this chapel built by the architect Benedetto Ferrini.

Bonifacio Bembo painted the superb figure of the “Eternal Father” at the centre of the circle, representing paradise's summit, surrounded by a double row of angels.

Below the Eternal Father, his son, the Risen Christ, is represented in a mandorla surrounded by angels rising into a magnificent blue sky that dominates the earth, the land where the guards of his tomb, which he left, lie.

Some critics also attribute the Annunciation scene to Bembo.

These frescoes in vibrant colours are beautiful and particularly expressive.
